Angry Birds 2 biggest update is here!
Welcome to Angry Birds 2: 3.0!
In this update we will see massive changes to how your flock works overall. There aresome tweaks to the matchmaking in Clan vs. Clan and updates to how many Rainbow Feathers you can get! Let’s dive right into it!
NEW FEATURES:
Pick Your Flock - All the time!
You can now select any combinations of birds you want to use, without any limitations! If you want to use all four Extra Birds at once, you can! The choice is yours!
Let’s get into the details:
- Pick Your Flock is now extended to every feature in the game (except the Arena, which maintains the Flock of the Day).
- Features with Pick Your Flock are:
- The Saga Map
- Daily Challenge & King Pig Panic
- Mighty Eagle’s Bootcamp
- Clan Battle & Clan Events
- Events with no birds or hats limitations. Ex. Rowdy Rumble.
- Simply put, there is no longer a ‘basic flock’ and Extra Birds. You can choose your own flock however you may please!
- You can freely edit your flock, which still consists of 8 birds. This will be available once you unlock your 9th Bird.
- You can use any number of Extra Birds that you want! No longer are you limited to a single extra bird, but you can even use them all if you want!
- To access the Pick Your Flock pop-up screen and change your birds, simply tap on any bird in the start screen, or tap the Pick Your Flock button (usually on the bottom right in each feature).
- To change your selected Birds, simply tap on the bird you want to swap and then choose the bird you want to use while in the Pick Your Flock pop-up screen. That’s it!
- We’ve added the birds’ ability info pop-up: you can see details about what your flock members can do by clicking the info button on the birds in the Pick Your Flock pop-up screen.
- You can now see other players’ latest flock from their player profile.
- Features with Pick Your Flock are:
OTHER CHANGES:
Wardrobe Removal / Bird Pop-ups
- From now on, you can only equip/unequip the hats in the Hat Shop. You can no longer swap the hat on a bird by tapping it on the Home Screen, as this takes you to the Pick Your Flock pop-up instead.
More Rainbow Feathers
- We know as well as you that the best way to level up your Extra Birds is to give them Rainbow Feathers. Sure, we all love Leonard’s snot covered feathers, but Rainbow Feathers are simply a bit better!
- Feather reward Upgrades:
- King Pig Panic: The feather reward has been replaced by Rainbow Feathers.
- Arena Winning Streak: Some of the rewards are replaced by Rainbow Feathers.
- Feather reward Upgrades:
- Clan Battles: Extra Bird Feathers are part of the rewards.
Clan Battles and Mighty Eagle’s Bootcamp Matchmaking
We hear you loud and clear - you want fairer matches in the Clan Battles! This update includes some rather substantial changes to how the matchmaking works both for Clan vs. Clan, and how your opponents are selected for the Local Leaderboard in Mighty Eagle’s Bootcamp
- From now on you will be matched through your “base flock power” instead of total flock power.
- Base flock power consists only of your specific slingshot level and your permanent card level.
- It takes into consideration the 8 highest level birds in your inventory.
Well there you have it everyone! Pick Your Flock is now available everywhere in the game (except Arena)! Additionally, you can find more Rainbow Feathers throughout the game to ensure that you can level up all your Extra Birds, and we’ve done some improvements to the matchmaking in Mighty Eagle’s Bootcamp and the Clan Battles.
