Q1: I don’t like a person in my clan. Can you remove them?
We do not interfere with internal clan affairs. Every clan is responsible to maintain communication between members. We will only take action in extreme cases. If you believe a member of your clan is being highly offensive, please select their profile and click “Report”. Make sure to submit a reason for the report as well.
Q2: How do I join a clan?
To join a clan, you have to be at least Star Rank 7 and have chosen a name for the game. Once you get that Star Rank, you can go to the Clans section of the game by tapping the Clans icon from the main menu screen. You will be given the choice of joining an existing clan or creating your own clan.
Tap "Join a Clan", and you can browse through some clans that are looking for more members. If you’re looking for one clan in particular (if your friends have already started a clan for example), tap "Search Clans" and you can search by Clan name/ID, location, type, and number of members.
Once you've found a Clan that you're interested in, simply tap the "Join!" button on that clan! If the clan is closed instead of open, there will be a "Request" button instead. When you tap that, a request to join the clan will be sent, and need to be approved by the clan's lead or a co-leader before you can join.
Q3: How do I leave a clan?
To leave a Clan, first navigate to the Clans section of the game by tapping the Clans icon on the flock screen. You will now see the information for the Clan you are a member of. Tap on the "Clan Info" button, and you will then see a red "Leave Clan" button. Tap that and you will be given a confirmation window asking if you really want to leave the Clan. To confirm, simply tap the red "Leave Clan" button again!
Please note that clan leaders can only leave their clan if they first promote a co-leader to a leader.
Q4: How do I become a leader?
For you to become a leader of your current clan, the acting leader must appoint you. If you want to start a clan of your own, please refer to Q10!
Q5: How do I promote, demote or kick a clan member?/p>
Only the Clan leader or a co-leader is able to manage Clan members. To do so, navigate to your clan's page, then tap Clan Members. Then, you can browse through your Clan members and tap the player profile of the member you wish to promote, demote, or kick. You will see buttons on the player profile for the options that are available to you.
As a leader, you can promote members to co-leader, or demote co-leaders back to member. Clan members can always be kicked, however, to kick a co-leader, the co-leader must first be demoted to member by the Clan leader before the option to kick is given.
A co-leader can promote other members to co-leader but will be unable to demote fellow co-leaders. Co-leaders can also kick clan members (but not other co-leaders).
Q6: Our leader has been absent for a long time. Can Rovio appoint someone else?
As mentioned in Q1, Rovio normally does not interfere with internal clan affairs. However, in such a situation, we may consider manually appointing another player to be the leader. Please contact our player support with the following information:
- confirmation from all clan members that they agree for a specific person to be appointed the leader;
- the name of the player you would like to have as your leader.
Q7: How do we get new players to join our clan?
Currently, there's no method in the game to recruit new Clan members actively. When a player is looking for a Clan to join, they will be presented with a list of recommended Clans, so there is a chance that players will find your Clan on their own. This is random, and there is no way for us to change it manually.
Alternatively, you could try recruiting for your Clan through our social media channels, such as our Angry Birds 2 Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angrybirds2/ or our fan-run Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/AB2Gamers/.
For players to find your clan directly, you can use your Clan tag, which is available in your Clan: if you tap on Clan Info, you'll see a number under your Clan name. This is your Clan tag.
Also, remember, that you can change your settings to make the clan private or public. If you have it set to private, perhaps changing it would be a good idea.
Q8: A player keeps on leaving and rejoining the clan! What can I do?
If players join and leave your clan to cause an inconvenience, we recommend changing your clan from "Open" to "Closed." That will stop unwanted players from interrupting your clan. We understand it can be annoying, but as such behavior isn't against our Terms of Service, changing the clan to closed is the only solution for this situation.
Q9: We can’t open or close our clan! Why?
To improve the visual appearance of the game, we now restrict the number of characters in the clan description to 90. If your character count is above 90, you most likely won't be able to edit your clan. Please consider changing your clan description.
Q10: How do I create my clan?
Creating your own clan is easy! First, open the Clans section of the game from the main menu screen.
Then, tap on "Create a Clan." You'll now see the window where you can create your Clan.
Tap on the section "Clan Name" to type the name you want for your Clan. Choose carefully, because this name cannot be changed later. Tap on "Clan Description" to write a quick description of your Clan. To the left of both of these sections, you can tap to pick a badge for your Clan.
On the right side, you can pick a location for your Clan. Please note that you can not change the location after creating the clan, so choose carefully! Lastly, you can also pick the clan type. An "open" clan means anyone can join, while if your clan is "closed", potential members can send requests to join that must be approved by you or your co-leaders before they can join.
After you've chosen all your options, all you have to do is tap Create! The cost to create a Clan is 350 gems.
Q11: How can I know when my clanmates were last online?
Click the clan members button to the left, and at the top right of every member, there is a lightbulb. The lightbulb comes in four different types:
Green - The player is active right now! Say hi! 😉
Yellow - The player has been active for the last three days. Hopefully, they’ll be back soon! 🤞🏼
Off - The player was last active four to eight days ago. 😔
Broken - The player has not been active for the past eight or more days. 💔
